Update

The end of year as always is fun between exam, cw and anything else that decided to rear its stressful head. Thought i would right a little update before i get to into work and am swamped.

Just bought my self an Interface, i need a few more tidbits before my home studio is complete but it should mean ill be able to upload more videos, and songs online and hopefully get some supporters.

As a final mention this week we Celebrated Samuel l Butcher's 2oth birthday old school BELATED night at Floritas. Us being unorganised and useless we didn't document the night with a camera, but as a tribute to Butch and also because its in my head here is B.o.B - Airplanes featuring Paramores Hayley Williams:

Laura Marling + Alessi's Ark + Boy and Bear

Yesterday i was finally presented with an opportunity to see indie-acoustic sensation Laura Marling on her latest tour promoting he new album "I Speak Because I Can". Unfortunately this meant i would not be treated to some of the less popular songs from her first album "Alas I Cannot Swim" but i was not disappointed as the tracks played from her new album were fantastic and now i am left with "Hope In The Air" stuck in my head.

The event was held at The Journal Tyne Theatre and was a new experience for me as i cannot recollect another show that i have had to sit down for. However being at a theatre also meant that the acoustics where fantastic and the overall sound quality was one of the best i have ever heard. Both Laura and her backing band were some of the most exceptional live singer and they ended up playing some of my favourite "Alas I Cannot Swim", "Ghosts" and "My Manic and I".

She was supported by Alessi's Ark (England based singer song writer)and Boy and Bear (Australian based Indie Band). Both of which performed to the amazing standard that Laura Marling set after them.

Time to E.P...

Although this will probably be a long time in the works, i am beginning work with Louis to start recording some of the new material. I feel i probably should try and taking a more professional view to my music, seen as Rosie seem to be moving on so quickly.

Whilst pondering how this should be achieved i have decided to create two e.ps one being all the old material that was supposed to be "The Boy in the Iceberg e.p" and the rest will be all the new material that i have developed recently.

This will mean "The Boy in the Iceberg e.p" will probably include some re-recordings of some of the songs i have made over the years. I reckon the final Track Listing will be something along the lines of:

1. The Boy in the Iceberg

2. Beautiful

3. I'll Try

4. The Boy from Mars(ft. Rosie)

5. We Used to Dream (ft. Rosie)

This means i will have a finalised Boy in The Iceberg Cd which should be good, which means i will have to update the original Graphics for it as my attempts as a 16 year old quite reflects my best efforts.

The only other thing i can really reveal at the moment for the new e.p is that i am thinking something along the lines of "Urban Countryside", this maybe to cheesy i probably will think of something far more epic along the way.

I will leave you with another infectious and utterly brilliant Los Campesinos song that although not new has found a lovely place to lodge itself inside my brain(it can be downloaded free at loscampesinos.com).

ROK-THE-KASBUH....

Basically a little music post about whats happening in both mine and Rosie's universe. Rosie are currently in the process of recording their official debutalbum its very professional  stuff and i will be keeping the updates about how its going and such.

When it comes to my own stuff i have just polished off two NEW (yet old songs). One i am hopefully going to be making into a collaboration with Rosie , presumably titled "Animals". The other will be a simple acoustic JOBBY called "Welcome To Society" i think i'm not sure if that name is to cheese-i-e or what be hopefully if Louis Leatherbarrow is not overly busy making the Next Platinum Selling, Award Winning , Doug featuring album i will get a chance to record both and bless all your little cotton socks by releasing them for your entertainment on the WWW.
